Dear users of vehicles with a maximum permissible gross weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes,
Please ensure that your Electronic Toll Collection Unit (hereinafter referred to as the “ETC unit”) is correctly installed in accordance with the User Manual or the Supplement to the User Manual. You must also observe the audible and visual signals emitted by the ETC unit while travelling on a toll road.
Before using a toll road, you must install the ETC unit on the vehicle’s windscreen and ensure that it remains in place throughout your use of the toll road.
Before entering a toll road, you must set the number of axles on the ETC unit to match the actual number of axles on the vehicle, including any lift axle (if fitted) and the axles of any trailers or semi-trailers. You must also check the status of the ETC unit by pressing and holding the button for less than 2 seconds.
If necessary, toll road users may visit a service point to replace their ETC unit. Adhesive fasteners or a mounting bracket for attaching the unit to the vehicle’s windscreen can be obtained free of charge from any BelToll system service point before using a toll road.
